Yoplait Splitz Review and Giveaway

Yoplait and MyBlogSpark sent me a fantastic picnic set: an insulated cooler, a roll-up fleece picnic blanket and free Yoplait Splitz.  We froze the Splitz to enjoy them as an alternative for ice cream.  They were very tasty but our tastebuds and eyes weren't easily fooled.  The flavors were very good but the texture of the Splitz was unlike ice cream and we nearly had to wait until it was thawed to eat it.  MyBlogSpark sent one flavor and we purchased two additional flavors so we sampled Strawberry Sundae, Strawberry Banana Split, and Rainbow Sherbet.

The Entertainer wanted everyone's yogurt!  He had a non-frozen Strawberry Sundae today and really enjoyed it.

MyBlogSpark is offering a second prize pack for my readers.  You will receive an insulated picnic tote, a fleece roll-up picnic blanket and a free coupon to try your own SplitzJust leave a comment and include which flavor you would like to try: Strawberry Sundae, Strawberry Banana Split, or Rainbow Sherbet.
You can also receive a second entry by visiting Yoplait on Facebook and clicking "like".  You can receive a third entry by blogging about this giveaway and including a link up.  Just come back and leave another comment to let me know you've done this.

Winner will be drawn Monday, September 5 by midnight and notified by email (so make sure if you leave an annonymous comment you leave a contact email).

Goodbye Tonsils, You've Been a Bad Friend to Me!

The Reader had his tonsils and adenoids removed Tuesday to help with his sleep apnea symptoms. This was in the prep room before his surgery. And right after, having a white cherry slushy, he downed it in no time.
And then he had to call home to his big brother to tell him "you were wrong, the beds are not hard as rocks and the sheets are as light as feathers". As you can see by his face he'd had some chocolate ice cream by this time as well.

He is recovery very nicely at home, milking his unlimited ice cream and Wii playing privileges as any recovering child ought to.

Start Halfway There

The Thinker is up every morning around 7:00 am and gets dressed immediately. He is his father's son! The other night when Mr. Steady was putting a sleeping child back in his bed we discovered why....

His feet are halfway out of the bed while he sleeps! I'm so trying this tomorrow morning. Now if I can do it with the same chipper attitude he has that will be a real miracle.
